Being a Role Model.
Most of us do things in life without too much thought to what we are doing. We often really do not realise the affect we have on the lives of others - even when we have been doing things without the intention of being a role model. As a parent, you really do not know how much of a role model you could be to your children and their friends. People you work with are watching you all the time and you set the scene as to what they think of you. Whether or not you realise it, you are being watched by people all of the time. Make sure you are doing the best you can at all times. It really does pay off - as I have experienced with the following comment that was sent to me. It helped me realise that we could help others positively or negatively. We need to really be aware of what we do every day of our lives.
Re: Thanks
No, Thank YOU, Baz, for creating this channel. :-)
As a teenager balancing academics, musical studies on the side, trying to read mountains of literature on the way to my goal of studying literature at university, and swimming team commitments, (all the while being mercilessly buffeted by the turmoil of puberty and teenage angst) I've been floundering, out of control, in this soup of life, lately.
I just came across your YouTube channel yesterday and I've been going through and watching every video and reading (still reading) every blog entry on basil-mienie.com. It has been a "massive" discovery for me, your dedication and wisdom. I believe I am now ready to take the reins and put my everything back on track.
You're an amazing person and an inspirational role model - words that you've doubtlessly heard many times, but which nevertheless remain as true as ever.
Thanks.
Kenneth
